There are 3 Main Macronutrients: Protein, Carbohydrates & Fats All 3 have their own specific roles and functions in the body and supply us with calories or energy. The body requires these nutrients in relatively large amounts to grow, develop, repair and feel good!

Macronutrients are essential for proper body functioning, ALL macronutrients must be obtained through diet as the body cannot produce macronutrients on its own.

Each macronutrient is almost always found in every item of food, whether that’s a protein energy bar or some raw vegetables, the only difference with it is the percentage of how they are balanced.

Once you understand how each macronutrient plays a different role in the body, you can tailor your diet accordingly to your own goals.
