How To Eat When On Vacation

Before we get into this…

You should NOT feel Forced to stick to your program during vacation if you don’t want to. You’re on vacation to relax and have fun. Although, it might be a good idea to keep a fitness routine going while you’re on vacation.

I know you don’t want to feel bloated and tired after the first few days and/or come back 15 pounds heavier than you were when you left. So, here are some guidelines.

1) Set Your Meals

Have a plan for how many meals you will have for the day.

For most people, this will be Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

Chances are, your food choices won’t be the most fitness-friendly…

But when you have a plan for your meals, you are able to keep tabs on how much and how often you’re eating.

2) Set your Drinks

You should enjoy yourself while you’re on vacation, but it’s probably not the best idea to use it as a opportunity to see how much you can drink every day. I recommend setting a limit on the number and type of drinks you can have each day of your vacation. I aim to stick to 2-3 Glasses of wine, margaritas per day.

3) Train MOST Days

You’ll definitely want to do this. Workout daily, I don’t care if it’s a full workout, 50 pushups, or just a quick 15-20 minute beach walk. It’ll make you feel mentally and physically.

4) Next Play Mode

You might go into your vacation with the goal to stick to your strategies and completely ruin it. That’s alright, you’re on vacation, remember. Keep in mind, you still have another opportunity to get it right the very next moment. Every day is a new day to get back to your strategies.
