To really understand yourself and become in touch with who you are and why you act the way you do, it’s important to ask a journaling question.

Ideally, you want to be journaling daily for 10 minutes. If that’s too much, go for three or four days per week.

In this case, you want to be journaling about your program. You can journal about it in our private Facebook group, or keep it to yourself. It’s completely your choice.

You can document how the plan is going, what you love about it, what is difficult at the moment, and how the progress is moving. You can journal about things you struggled with, why it happened, and how you can fix it moving forward. The list goes on.

You don’t have to stay on the fitness subject the whole time, but I encourage you to journal about everything going on in your life to really de-stress yourself and develop insight and clarity.

It’s very relaxing and useful to get your thoughts out of your head and on paper or text.

If you’re stressed out about something, write about it. You can try to come up with a plan of action, or just use it as a resource for venting. Journaling throughout your fitness journey will really help you destress and gain control over your mindset and behaviors.

Something that’s super powerful for motivation is to take a daily accountability picture. You don’t have to share it with anyone; you can just take it for yourself and save it in a folder. Or if you want, you can gain some extra accountability by posting in our private Facebook group. I know everyone won’t do it, but trust me, this is an extremely motivating way of keeping yourself accountable. If you want to do it in pants and a tank top or t-shirt at first, that’s fine too!

By doing this, you can force yourself to stay disciplined and it will help you stick to your training and nutrition on a daily. How? We’ll if you know you have to continue to publicly post your progress, it’ll make you more conscious of your daily food decisions.

If you’re forced to take a picture of yourself shirtless with shorts every morning, you most definitely will want to see progress. So you’ll stick to your nutrition plan and training routine.

Do whatever is comfortable for you to keep yourself accountable.
